
About the project
The AI4Gov project is aimed at exploring the possibilities of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data technologies for developing evidence-based innovations, policies, and policy recommendations to harness the public sphere, political power, and economic power for democratic purposes. The project intends to contribute to the research landscape that addresses ethical, trust, discrimination, and bias issues, and provide solutions to the challenges faced by stakeholders in modern democracies.

Develop and introduce Trusted, Transparent, and Interpretable AI solutions
Policy Development
Facilitate policymakers on the development of automated, educated and evidence-based policies and policy recommendations
Citizen Trust and Engagement
Increase the trust of citizens in the democratic processes and organizations
Project Concept
- Safeguard and foster the fundamental elements of human rights and democratic values by the utilization of AI and Big Data.
- Build upon applicable laws, protocols, and regulations (i.e., the GDPR), and in-line with ethical recommendations for AI, e.g., the recommendations of the HLEG and the EU AI Act.
- List ItExplore and remove bias in AI and Big Data by design.em #3
- Provide enhanced policies that are easy-to-use, transparent, trustworthy, discrimination-free and unbiased.
- Raise the awareness and trust of stakeholders on AI by reassuring them that is leveraged responsibly and ethically.
