The project AI4Gov recognizes the importance of open education and we are thrilled to announce the launch of the AI4Gov Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) “Trustworthy and Democratic AI – Fundamentals”. This course is developed to equip learners worldwide with the foundational understanding about bias in artificial intelligence. Training materials include: text, video lectures, presentation slides, comic books, quizzes.

AI is everywhere, from the personalized recommendations on your favorite streaming platform to the voice-activated virtual assistants simplifying your tasks. However, as AI continues to evolve, so does the imperative for it to be explainable, fair, and transparent.
By democratizing the discourse on AI ethics, governance, and technical standards, our aim is to ensure that future AI systems are rooted in principles of fairness, accountability, and transparency. Best of all, this course is accessible to anyone with an internet connection and is offered completely free of charge.
