On March 20, AI4Gov held its second Open Day event in Athens, kindly hosted by the Municipality of Vari Voula Vouliagmeni and welcomed by its mayor, Mr. Grigoris Konstantellos.
With most of our tools nearing completion, this event provided an excellent opportunity to showcase to representatives of the Greek public administration how these tools can enhance the services they offer to their end-users, and to discuss the broader application and impact of trustworthy artificial intelligence in the public sector.
We were not alone in this effort, and we wish to extend our sincere thanks to:
- Our invited speakers, Mrs. Christy Agapitou and Mr. John Soldatos, for their enlightening presentations on the application of AI in public administration and its significant role in advancing tourism.
- Our sister projects, KT4D, represented by Mrs. Elizabeth Calderón Lüning, and ORBIS, represented by Mr. Ioannis Efstathiou, for showcasing their complementary frameworks and tools alongside AI4Gov, aiming to enhance democratic engagement through AI.

What’s next?
- Which of our tools best suits your needs? How can you make the most of them? Detailed descriptions, videos, and guidelines will soon be released.
- Look forward to more initiatives from the AI, Democracy, and Big Data taskforce, where AI4Gov actively collaborates with the KT4D, ORBIS and ITHACAprojects. The taskforce is expanding, exploring joint solutions, and organizing open events to foster engagement.
